Townhouse Lefkada (2022) is a four-storey aparthotel located on a prominent corner plot in the centre of Lefkada city, designed by our studio from concept and planning through detailed design and interiors. The building completes a gap within the semi-dense urban fabric, articulated as a monolithic volume shaped by the geometry of the site. Subtle volumetric shifts and a façade of vertical fins mediate scale, provide solar shading and reference local architectural patterns.
The interior layout is structured around a central atrium that organises circulation while introducing daylight and natural ventilation deep into the plan. Interior design and bespoke joinery respond to the constraints of the compact footprint, combining spatial efficiency with a restrained material palette. Integrated lighting design by Vasiliki Malakasi is embedded within the architecture, shaping interior atmospheres and defining the building’s night-time presence with controlled, low-impact illumination.
The project and its lighting design have been internationally recognized, receiving the STRUCTURES: Low Budget award at the 2022 DARC Awards in London, the Low Carbon Lighting award at the 2024 Lighting Design Awards (LIT), and publication in DOMES magazine, Issue 164, a leading international architectural journal.

Το Townhouse Lefkada είναι ένα νεόδμητο ξενοδοχείο τυπολογίας aparthotel (επιπλωμένα διαμερίσματα) που βρίσκεται στο κέντρο της πόλης της Λευκάδας και σχεδιάστηκε εξ ολοκλήρου από το μηδέν.
Η αρχιτεκτονική πρόταση στοχεύει στη δημιουργία ενός κτιρίου ενσωματωμένου σε μια περιοχή χωρίς ιδιαίτερο μορφολογικό χαρακτήρα, αντλώντας αναφορές από το αστικό και παραδοσιακό περιβάλλον του νησιού, ενώ ταυτόχρονα συγκροτεί μια σύγχρονη και αναγνωρίσιμη ταυτότητα.
Το έργο δημοσιεύτηκε στο περιοδικό DOMES, τεύχος 164, μία από τις σημαντικότερες Ελληνικές αρχιτεκτονικές εκδόσεις και έλαβε διεθνή αναγνώριση για τον σχεδιασμό του φωτισμού αποσπώντας το βραβείο STRUCTURES: Low Budget στα Darc Awards 2022 στο Λονδίνο και το βραβείο Low Carbon Lighting στο διεθνή διαγωνισμό Lighting Design Awards (LIT) 2024.
A lightweight external structure of vertical louvers wraps the building envelope, shading the east and west façades and creating a secondary skin for the building.
